Female patient 38 years old that had an impacted canine. The patient had already started orthodontic treatment to restore proper dental arch form.

The surgical exposure was performed under local anaesthesia using Nd:YAG Laser to remove the soft tissues. The thin bone wall covering the crown of the impacted canine was removed using Piezosurgery. Bleeding was minimal and there was no discomfort to the patient. The final photo is immediately after the exposure procedure. The Orthodontist was able to attach a bracket on the exposed tooth surface within days to start pulling the impacted tooth to its proper position in the arch.
